One killed in Moscow blast

A car exploded today at a packed McDonald’s restaurant in south-west Moscow, killing one person and injuring seven others in what police called a terrorist act, officials said.

Sergei Tsimburtsum, an official rescue worker, told reporters that the seven people injured, including a five-year-old girl, were expected to live.
