Dozens feared dead as two boats capsize in India

Dozens of people were feared drowned after two boats capsized today in a rain-swollen reservoir in eastern India, police said.

The boats were caught in a rainstorm as they crossed the reservoir of the Rukka dam near Ranchi, capital of eastern Jharkhand state, local police chief Jai Sankar Tiwary said.

The accident scene is about 750 miles southeast of the capital New Delhi.
