Carr loses bail bid today

Maxine Carr, accused of conspiring to pervert the course of justice following the disappearance of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, today failed in a bid to be freed on bail pending trial.

Judge David Mellor refused Carr’s bail application at a hearing at Norwich Crown Court.

Carr, 25, of Soham, Cambridgeshire, has been held on remand at Holloway Prison, North London since she was charged in August.
