Stranded Queen rescued on freezing river

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were rescued when their boat broke down in freezing temperatures on Winnipeg’s Red River.

The elderly royal couple, on a Golden Jubilee tour of Canada, were crossing the river in a water taxi when its engine failed last night.
