Men held over businessman's kidnapping

A number of men were today understood to have been arrested in Georgia in connection with the kidnapping of British businessman Peter Shaw.

The arrests in the former Soviet republic were reported on local television but details could not be confirmed by the Foreign Office or the British Embassy in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi.
