Hussein continues diplomatic offensive

Saddam Hussein is continuing a diplomatic offensive in talks with Middle Eastern states in the hope of hardening opposition to any attack on Iraq.

The talks come as the Chief United Nations Weapons Inspector, Hans Blix, issued a statement welcoming tough new security council resolution to support his mission in Iraq.
