Mayor of Paris stabbed at city hall

An attacker today stabbed Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe in the abdomen at city hall, where a late-night concert had been organised, fire-fighters said.

Mr Delanoe, whose life was not in danger, was rushed by ambulance to a Paris hospital, the mayor’s office said.
