Parents set up charity in Milly's memory

The parents of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler are to set up a charity to educate young people about personal safety, it emerged today.

Police said it would be called Milly’s Fund.

Milly, 13, from Walton-on-Thames, Surrey went missing in March while walking home from school.

Her body was found in remote woodland near Fleet, 25 miles away, last month.

A Surrey police spokesman said: “There is going to be a charity to educate young people about personal safety.”

He said it would be launched on Tuesday, when a memorial service is to be held for Milly at Guildford Cathedral, Surrey, and no more details were available at this stage.
