Louisiana 'lucky' as hurricane Lili passes through

Hurricane Lili gave Louisiana’s coast a 100 mph overnight battering that swamped streets, knocked out power and snapped trees.

But it dwindled to tropical storm strength as it moved inland, leaving residents thankful it did not cause the disaster they were expecting.
