€19m Internet sting gang arrested

Eight people have been arrested in Spain after police smashed a gang that reaped up to €19m by duping Internet chat enthusiasts into paying for access to safety deposit boxes supposedly full of dollars.

Spanish police arrested five Nigerians, a Briton, a Spanish woman and a minor whose nationality was not disclosed, the Civil Guard said in Madrid today.
