Patient suffers burns after operating table bursts into flames

A woman who was undergoing a routine hernia operation suffered third degree burns when the operating table burst into flames.

The 32-year-old woman, named only as Lenka S, from the Czech capital Prague, received severe burns to ten per cent of her body when a heater underneath the table caught fire.
