At least 730 feared dead after ferry disaster

At least 730 people are feared dead after a Senegalese ferry sank during gales off the coast of Gambia.

Senegalese President Abdoualaye Wade said today that a passing Italian boat rescued about 50 survivors from the rough seas after the ferry went down last night.
