Indian terrorist may avoid death penalty

The Indian government will consider not seeking the death penalty against the man accused of orchestrating the country’s deadliest bomb attack if that is necessary to get him deported from Portugal.

“Relaxation of the law can be considered in this case,” said Deputy Prime Minister Lal Advani.
