Huntley remanded until later today

Ian Huntley today appeared in court for the first time charged with the murders of schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

The 28-year-old former caretaker appeared at Peterborough Magistrates Court as a major police operation swung into place with more than 50 officers assembled in case of trouble.
