Thousands remember murdered Afghan resistance fighter

Several thousand people gathered amid heavy security today at a mosque in northern Afghanistan to mark the first anniversary of the killing of Ahmed Shah Massood.

The veteran Northern Alliance commander, who fought the Soviets and the Taliban, was killed by two suicide bombers posing as journalists.
