UN to probe 'Taliban mass grave'

The United Nations today promised to send a delegation to investigate the discovery of a mass grave – believed to contain the bodies of hundreds of Taliban soldiers.

The grave lies just off a main road on the outskirts of the northern Afghan town of Shibergan – a five-minute drive from the jail where many Taliban prisoners were held by US-backed Afghan forces.
