World Summit could fail
World leaders are under pressure to save the Earth Summit from disaster.
The British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, who is already in Africa, says he is confident deals can still be reached on education and sanitation for the world's poor.
However, reporter Tim Ewart's, who is also in Johannesburg, says there is a lot of work to be done. "After the bad publicity that this summit has already had over the expense involved and so forth, nobody really wants to see it dismissed as a failure but at the moment, that would appear to be the way that it is heading," he said.
