Six men sentenced to death for gang rape

Six men have been sentenced to death in Pakistan for the gang rape of an 18- year-old girl.

A village tribal council ordered the attack as punishment for the girl’s family. Two of the men sentenced to death are reportedly part of the council. They allege that her brother was having an affair with a woman from another village. He says the rape was sanctioned because he was sodomised by three men and had threatened to tell the tribal council of the incident.
