Swedish intelligence service says the man arrested in Stockholm over a London-bound plane hijacking plot was planning to crash into a European US embassy

Police were said to be looking for four more men, including an explosives expert, who worked with him on the plot on the Ryanair plane, the BBC reported.

The suspect, who has been moved to a high security prison, will probably be charged on Monday, Swedish police spokesman Ulf Palm said.

"We know for sure that the plan was to crash the plane into a US Embassy in Europe," a military intelligence source said.

Swedish police are now investigating whether he has any connection to al-Qaida.

The man, named in some newspapers as Kerim Chatty, said he was on his way to an Islamic conference in Birmingham.
