Legionnaires' victims total rises to six

Six people have been infected with Legionnaires' disease after two more cases were diagnosed in a fresh outbreak, health officials confirm.

Sandwell Health Authority in the West Midlands says a man in his 50s is in a serious condition in Sandwell General Hospital, while another, in his 40s, was recovering well at the same site.

The latest cases came just hours after a woman in her 40s was confirmed as having contracted the disease.

The health authority disclosed earlier that three other women, in their 50s, were also recovering from Legionnaires'.
