Nuclear fuel and waste still pose a hazard in Serbia, despite a secret anti-terrorist project financed by the US that moved most of the weapons grade fuel to Russia, experts said today.

Serbian police, fearing a terrorist attack, sealed off nearly half of Belgrade on Thursday as a shipment of 1,797 pounds of highly enriched fuel was trucked to the airport from the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences, just outside Belgrade.
