Blasting cats with shotgun is legal, says judge

A landlord who blasted a tenant’s cats to death with a 12 bore shotgun acted in a legally acceptable manner, a US judge has ruled.

He cleared Eric Grossnickle, of Frederick, Maryland, of animal cruelty in the first test of a new law designed to stiffen penalties for such offences.
