There is always a risk that patients taken into a secure hospital under emergency measures might not be genuine, the manager of the institution where Ian Huntley is being held said today.

Dr Mike Harris, who heads Rampton secure hospital, Nottinghamshire, declined to talk about individual cases but said that anybody who was admitted there must have been deemed to be a danger to the public.
