US prison inmate executed in Texas

A US prison inmate convicted of stabbing a 15-year-old girl to death in 1990 has been executed by injection.

In his final statement, Gary Etheridge apologised to Christie Chauviere’s relatives and expressed love to his wife, who watched through a window a few feet away.
