Maxine Carr arrives at court

Teaching assistant Maxine Carr has arrived at the Magistrates Court in Peterborough to face charges in connection with the murder of 10-year-olds Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

Crowds began to gather in the pedestrianised street outside the court from around 8am and had swelled to almost 250 by the time Carr arrived.
