Postmortem results on the two bodies, believed to be those of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, have proved inconclusive, police in England said tonight.

The tests carried out by Home Office pathologist Dr Nat Cary at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge between 11pm yesterday and 4am today failed to pinpoint the exact cause of death.
