Earthquake injures dozens in Indonesia

An earthquake has rocked parts of Central Sulawesi in Indonesia, injuring dozens of villagers.

There are no fatalities in the 5.9-magnitude quake but hundreds of homes are damaged.

It was centred on Tomini Bay near the district capital of Poso, which is about 1,000 miles north east of Jakarta.

An official at the local government office says about 50 people are injured and about 500 houses were damaged in four villages in Tojo, which is east of Poso.

The official Antara news agency reports the quake also damaged public facilities including roads, mosques, schools and hospitals.
