Fisherman hooks Harrier jet seat

A fisherman in the UK has landed an unusual catch - the ejector seat of an RAF Harrier jet which crashed during a display off the East Anglian coast.

Jeffery Melton, 40, was fishing for shrimps off Claremont Pier, Lowestoft, when his nets dredged up the seat from the jet, which went down during the Lowestoft Air Show two weeks ago.

Experts responsible for escape equipment from RAF Henlow in Bedfordshire were sent to collect it.

Accident investigators are still trying to find what caused the jet to plunge into the sea.
