Jogger decapitated by landing plane

A woman jogger has been decapitated by a plane in Brazil.

The 42-year-old was running on a runway often used for sports by people in the northern town of Cameta.

Police say Maria dos Santos Rodrigues try to duck when she saw the plane approaching her, but was too late.

The pilot is reported to have fled in the Cessna, but was arrested when he landed again 75 miles away in Belem.

Wilson Alessandro is facing charges of involuntary homicide. Officers are examining exactly why he tried to land on the Cameta runway, which was closed to aircraft.
