An elderly man has died following a massive outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease in the UK, hospital officials said tonight.

An elderly man has died following a massive outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease in the UK, hospital officials said tonight.

The man, who has not been named, was one of 19 confirmed cases of the disease reported in the Cumbrian town of Barrow-in-Furness, said Ian Cumming, chief executive of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust.
