Burper attempts new world record
The world’s loudest burper, a solicitor’s clerk from north London, was today attempting to break his own world record set in April 2000.
Paul Hunn, from Enfield, north London, has made several attempts to beat his historic 118.1 decibel record-breaker, the level of which was comparable to a pneumatic drill or an aircraft taking off.
Officials from Guinness World Records, armed with sound level meters and recording equipment, were on standby at the Science Museum in London to verify his attempts.
Paul’s tips for monster burp-making are:
* Eat something spicy the day before
* Ensure stomach is empty on day of burp
* Breathe in plenty of air
* Have a fizzy drink
* Force burp from back of throat
* To fragrance, use strawberry yoghurt.
