EC accused of covering up fraud claims

The European Commission was today accused by its former chief accountant of covering up claims that the EU’s €100.5bn budget was “massively open to fraud”.

Marta Andreasen said there were “serious and glaring shortcomings” in parts of the budget management process, leaving tapayers’ money at risk.
