Police arrest man in 'Milly' investigation

A 47-year-old man has been arrested by detectives in the UK investigating the disappearance of schoolgirl 'Milly' Amanda Dowler.

The man, from Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, was held shortly before 2pm and is being questioned by detectives at an unnamed Surrey police station.

Amanda, 13, also known as Milly, was last seen walking home from Walton-on-Thames railway station on March 21 this year.

A Surrey Police spokeswoman said: "A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the inquiry."
