Dando killer’s appeal a travesty, says sister

The family of Jill Dando’s killer Barry George said today they were appalled that he lost his appeal.

Outside court, George’s sister Michelle Biskin said: ‘‘This is just compounding the travesty that was last year’s conviction.

‘‘This is not justice. This could happen to anybody - your brother, your aunt, your child - because they have taken evidence and used it and there’s no evidence to convict Barry.

‘‘This is just appalling.’’

She said she would be releasing a statement from George later.
