26 people killed in Saudi road crash

A head-on collision between a bus and a truck has killed 26 people and injured 24 in western Saudi Arabia.

Police say the crash happened late on Friday near the holy city of Medina.

The bus caught fire in the collision.

Police said 25 Saudi bus passengers and the Syrian truck driver died in the crash.

Some of the 24 injured people have been hospitalised in a critical condition.
