Bush niece freed from jail
President George Bush's niece has been released from a Florida jail.
It comes just two days after she was jailed for violating the terms of her court ordered drug treatment programme.
A judge will decide later whether Noelle Bush, the 24-year-old daughter of Florida Governor Jeb Bush, can continue in the drug programme or whether she will face more jail time.
She was jailed on Wednesday for contempt of court. According to a letter sent to Orlando Judge Reginald Whitehead, a worker at her treatment centre found her carrying prescription pills.
A worker from the centre met Bush shortly after her release, said Allen Moore, a spokesman for the Orange County Jail.
"It's common when someone is in a treatment programme to be picked up by someone in the programme so they don't go back on the street," Moore said.
Bush was arrested in January at a chemist's drive-through window for allegedly trying to buy the anti-anxiety drug Xanax with a fraudulent prescription.
She was admitted to a drug treatment centre in February, with the possibility that charges would be dropped if she completed the program.
