50 die in Nepalese landslides
A landslide swept through two Nepalese mountain villages today, killing at least 50 people.
The villagers were asleep and at least 20 houses were crushed, reported the independent Kantipur Radio.
Bad weather and lack of roads in the remote Khotang region, 120 miles east of the Himalayan kingdomās capital, Katmandu, were hampering rescue efforts.
