Fears Bush has fallen off wagon
US President George Bush sparked fears he had fallen off the wagon when he was pictured apparently swigging from a beer bottle at the G8 summit of world leaders last month in Alberta, Canada.
The president has claimed not to have touched a drop of alcohol since becoming a teetotaller after his 40th birthday.
The summit hosts were tight-lipped about what any of the leaders were drinking, but calls to the White House solved the mystery.
Bush takes his own supply of non-alcoholic beer wherever he goes.
He was pictured enjoying a Buckler, although he also likes O’Doul’s.
But industry experts said that despite the president’s example, sales of non-alcoholic beer remain flat.
