Climbers die in Alps fall

Two British mountain climbers have died after falling 100ft in the French Alps, rescue services say.

The victims had reached a height of about 12,500ft in the Mont Blanc massif before the fall.

Both victims were about 50 years old. Their names have not been released.

Rescuers said it appeared there had been a problem with the climbers' equipment.
