Serial streaker strikes at Wimbledon

Britain's most notorious "serial streaker" served up another nude ace when he invaded Wimbledon's Centre Court.

Mark Roberts, a 37-year-old father of three from Liverpool, ran onto the hallowed turf during a rain break in the men's final this afternoon.

The man, who boasts 150 "performances" during an eight year career, even took his socks off to run stark naked and leap over the net.

The streak, which appeared to delight the crowd, happened just as finalists Lleyton Hewitt and David Nalbandian were due back on court to continue their gripping final clash.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said he was arrested for a breach of the peace and would be questioned further at Wimbledon Police Station.

In May this year Roberts, from Princes Park, ran on to the pitch at Hampden Park stadium, Glasgow, during the Champions League final.

Wearing nothing but a tartan 'See you Jimmy' hat, Roberts managed to dribble the ball from the halfway line and 'score' past Bayer Leverkusen's stunned goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt.

He was fined £200 for that stunt and is understood to have amassed around £2,000 in fines over the years.

He has been banned from entering football grounds in England and Wales after running naked onto the pitch at last year's FA Cup final and was banned from travelling to this summer's World Cup finals.

He also famously ran naked across the weather island on ITV's This Morning how and streaked on the Vanessa and Reeves & Mortimer shows.
