Bomb kills 29 as Algerians mark Independence Day

A bomb exploded today in a marketplace east of Algiers, killing 29 people and injuring 37 others.

The attack came on the day Algerians celebrate their independence from France, which was won 40 years ago after a brutal seven year war.
