Children among 19 killed in Hungary bus crash
Two children were among 19 people killed today when a tourist bus crashed into a ditch in Hungary, police said.
The bus flipped over after hitting an object in the middle of a roundabout, a police spokesman said. No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
The bus, which was registered in Poland, was travelling between the resorts of Balatonszentgyorgy and Balatonkeresztur, about 100 miles southwest of the capital Budapest.
Police said 32 injured passengers - including two more children - were taken to hospitals in the Lake Balaton area.
Those two children were among 16 people in a serious condition, an ambulance spokesman said.
