Bush threatens to cut Palestinian aid

US President George Bush threatened to cut off aid to the Palestinians if they failed to embrace the kind of changes he demanded on Monday.

Stepping up his pressure for the removal of Yasser Arafat, the president warned that ‘‘we won’t be putting money into a society’’ dominated by a corrupt leadership that helps finance terrorists.
