Europeans worried about food quality - poll

Europeans are worried about the safety and quality of what they eat and want to see farm subsidies redirected to promote better food, according to an EU organised poll released today.

Only 40% of those questioned said they believed the food they were buying was "safe to eat" said the poll, which was conducted between February and April.
