Europe steps up anti-smoking campaign

The European Commission today stepped up its campaign against young smokers by urging governments to ban the sale of packets of fewer than 20 cigarettes.

The latest proposals also include adult-only access to cigarette machines and the removal of tobacco products from self-service displays in shops and supermarkets.
