Rumsfeld optimistic conflict can be avoided

US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld says there are signs India and Pakistan are trying to reduce the risk of war.

Mr Rumsfeld, speaking after meeting Tony Blair and Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon, said he's cautiously optimistic conflict can be avoided.
