Egypt: We warned US week before Sept 11

Egypt warned US officials about a week before September 11 that al-Qaida was in the advanced stages of executing a significant operation against an American target, it was reported today.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said the information came from a secret agent who was in close contact with Osama bin Laden’s terror network.
