Aircraft crashes on UK road

Reports say a light aircraft has crashed on a British motorway, killing a crew member.

The ambulance service says it appears the plane crashed while taking off from the Duxford Airfield, west of Cambridge in England.

The BBC says there are no reports of other casualties.

In a statement officials at the airfield said: "We can confirm there has been an incident involving an aircraft. Members of the public were not affected"
