Turkish police have discovered the bodies of nine suspected Afghan refugees who apparently froze to death during the winter after crossing into Turkey from Iran.

Turkish police have discovered the bodies of nine suspected Afghan refugees who apparently froze to death during the winter after crossing into Turkey from Iran.

The bodies, including those of nine children, were found in the snow-covered mountains close to the Iranian border. The immigrants are believed to have frozen to death several months ago and were buried under heavy snow which covers the region nine months of the year.
