MEPs in Brussels have approved plans to make multinational corporations submit annual reports on the social and environmental impacts of their business.

MEPs in Brussels have approved plans to make multinational corporations submit annual reports on the social and environmental impacts of their business.

The plans will now be submitted to the European Commission, which is coming under increasing pressure to include the rule in a new directive on company law due to be unveiled later this year.
